WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 1, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Weber County Sheriff’s Office says it has identified the man who robbed the Golden West Credit Union on Wednesday afternoon. The man is also a suspect in the robbery of Weber State Credit Union in Roy on the afternoon of Aug. 24.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Nathan Dale Morris, 39, of Ogden, a news release from the sheriff’s office said. Morris has not been located.
Sheriff’s detectives have found evidence tying Morris to both robberies, the news release said. A second-degree felony arrest warrant was signed in Ogden Second District Court on Friday afternoon.
“In both robberies, Morris gave the tellers a note demanding money so no one would get hurt,” the news release said. “Surveillance cameras show that Morris wore both his hat and shirt inside out during these robberies.”
According to the release, the suspect fled both credit unions with an undisclosed amount of cash. He left in a 1998 4-door Honda Accord, silver/gray in color, with Utah license plate 728 WZW.
Morris may be armed and dangerous, the sheriff’s office said, so anyone who sees the vehicle or Morris should not approach him, but should call 911 immediately.
Anyone who has information regarding Nathan Morris or his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Haney at 801-778-6635 or Weber Dispatch at 801-629-8221.
