WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Aug. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 49-year-old West Valley City man was arrested Monday night after police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence near 3200 South and 4180 West.
West Valley City Police Lt. Justin Wyckoff said the incident, which was called in just after 6 p.m., began as an argument between two roommates over parking spaces.
As the argument became more heated, one man stabbed the other with a small pocket knife, Wyckoff said.
The victim did have a shallow wound near his arm, Wyckoff told Gephardt Daily, but he declined medical treatment and may have decided to drive himself to a hospital.
The suspect, Dwayne Varnado, was booked into jail and will be facing a charge of aggravated domestic violence, Wyckoff said.
