West Valley Man Killed In Accidental Shooting

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – March 21, 2015 – Gephardt Daily
A 57-year old West Valley City man has died after accidentally shooting himself in the neck.
It happened around 7:45 p.m Friday night inside a home at 4605 West Dunsmoore Way.
According to investigators, the man was drinking with friends, when he put a pistol to his throat and pulled the trigger.
Witnesses told police the man had removed the magazine from the gun, but apparently did not realize there was still a round in the chamber.
No charges have been filed in the case.
Investigators say it appears to be nothing more than a tragic accident.
