Woods Cross Police Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

WOODS CROSS, UTAH – August 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Police in Woods Cross are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery that happened Monday afternoon.

Officers say the robbery happened around 1:45 p.m. at the America West Bank located at 1290 S. 500 West. A man walked up to the teller with a weapon and demanded money. He is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, about 5’10” with a medium build.

“The suspect handed the teller a bag and the teller filled it with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Sgt. Chris Hoffman of the Woods Cross Police Department. “The suspect walked out of the building and was seen leaving the scene in a grey or black pick-up.”

Hoffman said officers are currently following leads to track down the owner of the truck.
