Feb. 1 (UPI) — A Pennsylvania couple were arrested Wednesday and charged in the death of their young daughter, who died from pneumonia last fall.
Authorities arrested Jonathan and Grace Foster for the death of 2-year-old Ella Grace Foster in November. They will face charges of involuntary manslaughter and endangering welfare of children.
The parents are being prosecuted because they chose not to treat the girl when she came down with a bad case of pneumonia. They told police their church, Faith Tabernacle, does not believe in or condone medical treatments.
Ella died at her family’s home in eastern Pennsylvania.
