Nov. 12 (UPI) — The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has confirmed President Donald Trump‘s airplane landed in the Southeast Asian island country.
“President Trump has arrived in the Philippines to attend the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. Welcome and mabuhay! #POTUSinAsia,” the embassy tweeted along with a photo of Trump standing alone at the top of the stairs outside of Air Force One.
“President Trump joined other nations’ leaders at the Special Gala Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN. #POTUSinAsia,” said another tweet from the embassy.
“Just landed in the Philippines after a great day of meetings and events in Hanoi, Vietnam!” Trump tweeted from his own account.
The stop in the Philippines is the last leg in the U.S. president’s 12-day tour through Asia.
