Optimism at Iran Nuclear Talks

John KerryLAUSANNE, Switzerland, April 2 (UPI) — German officials said Thursday a framework for nuclear talks has been reached between Iran and Western powers negotiating in Lausanne, Switzerland.

A full accord regarding controls on Iranian nuclear capability, and a reciprocal easing of economic sanctions on Iran, will be sought by June.

While a press conference, which is expected to include a joint statement, was being prepared, optimistic comments from principal members of the negotiations were sent by social media.

“Found solutions. Ready to start drafting immediately,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif tweeted. “Good news,” said a tweet from Federica Mogherini, the European Union foreign policy chief.
Zarif told reporters Wednesday, “We have made significant progress. We don’t have a final result yet.
