MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, Aug. 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — For nearly 40 years, West Jordan resident, Sandy England, lived in a world of darkness – the victim of the vision robbing disorder, retinitis pigmentosa.
Now, thanks to a new technology known as the bionic eye, Sandy’s vision has been restored.
It’s a far cry from how people normally see, but for Sandy, and countless others who are visually impaired, the breakthrough represents a new lease on life.
Sandy and her family waited months to learn if the procedure would restore her vision.
