SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 1, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Former University of Utah guard Delon Wright reportedly has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Wright, 32, will begin his 10th NBA season with the Bucks on a one-year, $3.3 million deal, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-5, 185-pound guard started last season with the Washington Wizards but agreed to a contract buyout and joined the Miami Heat in February.
He averaged 5.4 points, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 20.4 minutes per game for the Heat in 2023-24.
Toronto made Wright the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, and the Los Angeles native spent his first three NBA seasons with the Raptors.
The Bucks will become his ninth NBA team in a career that also included stops in Memphis, Dallas, Detroit, Sacramento and Atlanta.
Wright made a name for himself at Utah as versatile guard and elite defender, averaging 15.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists in his two seasons (2013-15) with the Utes.
