Birdseye Fire estimated at 40 acres in Utah County

UTAH COUNTY, May 28, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Birdseye Fire, originally called the Anderson Pointe Fire, grew from an estimated 15 acres to 40 acres late Thursday afternoon.

A video of the fire was first posted at 3:24 p.m. The update, with the new name and increased acreage, was shared at 5:24 p.m.

The fire is near the unincorporated community of Birdseye.

Structures are threatened, the first post says. Diamond Fork Helitack is on scene. A Type 1 helicopter and numerous engine crews are responding.
