Body Recovered from Colorado River NE of Moab

GRAND COUNTY, UTAH – March 22, 2015 – Gephardt Daily

Authorities in Grand County are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was discovered Saturday in the Colorado River near Fish Ford northeast of Moab.

The body was recovered Saturday by members of the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and Classic Medical Helicopter. It was then transported to the Utah Medical Examiner’s Office in Salt Lake City.

According to the OME, the body is that of a 30-to-40-year old male, 6 foot 4 inches tall, 250 to 275 lbs., with a full beard and mustache.

Cause of death is still under investigation.
