SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 23, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A pedestrian died late Thursday night following an incident involving a Unified Police Department vehicle on 1300 South, between State and Main streets.
Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke confirmed that there was an auto-pedestrian fatality, but said he had received almost no information on it. He said that, because a UPD vehicle was involved, Salt Lake City Police Department is handling the investigation.
The accident was first reported just before 11 p.m.
Gephardt Daily put in a press call to Salt Lake City Police Department, but had not received a call back as of 2 a.m. Friday.
