Aug. 5 (UPI) — Country music star Kellie Pickler says one of the many highlights of her career has been entertaining the U.S. troops who are serving overseas.

Season 3 of her CMT docu-series, “I Love Kellie Pickler,” will show her performing in Iraq last Christmas.

“We get to shine a light on our service men and women serving all around the world and their families,” the “American Idol” alum said, noting she has, to date, participated in 11 U.S.O. entertainment tours. “It is truly one of the most beautiful blessings we have been a part of, I’d say. Ever year, we’re planning a holiday tour.”
