LONDON, Dec. 10 (UPI) — Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher has expressed his extreme dislike for fellow British pop singer Adele.

During an interview with Australia’s Music Feeds, Gallagher was asked for his opinion on the current state of music. The normally outspoken songwriter didn’t disappoint stating, “Music has nosedived into [expletive] blandness – a sea of cheese.”

When asked about his reputation for always speaking his mind, Gallagher noted that “I don’t overthink anything that I do. If I get asked a question on anything, I give a straight answer. It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go.”

Gallagher then started to criticize music’s current leading lady. “Lately, the one I’ve been asked about is Adele. If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll [expletive] tell them,” he explained.

“Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I’m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria. I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for f—ing grannies.”

Adele has yet to respond but is keeping busy with her recording breaking new album 25 and her recently announced European concert tour set to kick off Feb. 29.
