Brigham City man, missing since Oct. 11, found deceased

BRIGHAM CITY, Utah, Oct. 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — An 89-year-old Brigham City man who was the subject of several extensive searches has been found deceased.

Floyd Kling, who had dementia, was missing since Wednesday afternoon.

On Sunday evening, the Brigham City Police Department issued the following statement on Facebook:

“It’s with heavy hearts that the search for Floyd Kling has come to an end as he was located deceased. We here at Brigham P.D., along with Mr. Kling’s family, express our gratitude for all of your support at getting his information out there near and far, along with all those who actively searched for him. We live in such an amazing and caring community. We express our heart felt condolences to the Kling family.”

Within an hour of that message being posted, more than 125 people had expressed their condolences in comments on the BCPD Facebook page.

Mr. Kling’s family was maintaining a Facebook page providing updates on the search for him. On Sunday night, the family posted:

“We will be taking some time away from social media as a family, but please know that we are so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love and support that we have received.”
