SEVIER COUNTY, Utah, May 21, 2024 (Gephardt Daily)  — Officials are warning people away from washed out Dry Creek Road in Fishlake National Forest through the weekend.

The road is closed due to multiple washouts, according to identical press releases from the U.S. Forest Service and the Sevier County emergency management department.

“Currently, the road is closed because it is utterly impassable by any vehicle, including All-Terrain vehicles (ATVs), Utility Vehicles (UTVs), off-road motorcycles, Jeeps, etc.” reads the online alert.

“Please DO NOT pass the road closed signs this weekend.

“There is no road left for any vehicle to traverse. Your safety is our number one concern, and the area is dangerous. Please stay away.”

Fishlake National Forest is working with local road crews to fix the severe washouts.
