Saratoga Springs police seek public’s help finding missing, endangered man

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, July 2, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Saratoga Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered 22-year-old man.

According to a police news release, Arthur Oliveira was last heard from at 2:30 a.m. June 25. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and paranoia and is considered endangered because of his medical condition. His family told authorities the last time he took his medication was June 23.

He was last seen with two “strangers” on June 25; they were attempting to purchase items from him. One of the “strangers” drove Oliveira to a nearby park and dropped him off. After being dropped off, Oliveira made his way to the area of Mountain Point Hospital, in Lehi, the release states. He tried to contact his family at 2:30 a.m. June 25, using a phone from inside Mountain Point Hospital.

No one has seen or heard from him since that phone call.

Police say Oliveira doesn’t drive, but “roams” on foot. He is known to frequent gas stations, and is a big online gamer.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair, gauges in both ears, and a lip piercing. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a long black shirt, and a black hoodie.
