April, 21, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Hot Topic and Her Universe are teaming up to create a line of sleek and stylish apparel that is basically everything that any comic girl could dream of. T-shirts, leggings and costume dresses are fine choices when if comes to fangirl clothing but girls don’t you want more? These Avengers-inspired looks are downright dreamy.
The line looks the way it does thanks to the Her Universe Fashion Show held at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The winners of that contest, Amy Beth Christenson and Andrew MacLaine, got the opportunity to design this collection and truly made it fashion-forward.
Her Universe is the vision of Ashley Eckstein, actress and voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Araca Group.
The Her Universe goal, from the beginning, was to build the company into a stand-alone entertainment and merchandise brand and with the female audience for sci-fi growing dramatically in numbers and largely unnoticed until now, Her Universe is leading the way.
Hoping to change the perception that science fiction and fantasy is just for the boys.
