Tim Tebow’s Jersey Among Best-Selling In The League
WASHINGTON, July 9 (UPI) — Eagles back-up quarterback Tim Tebow’s NFL jersey is among the most popular as this year’s football season approaches.
Sporting the number “11” and the admired quarterback’s last name, the Eagles jerseywas reportedly the 16th best-selling on NFLshop.com last month. Although the former Jets athlete spent a moderate amount of time on the field in previous years, there is no question that the player’s popularity is still soaring.
CBS reports that Tebow’s jersey sold at higher rates than any other back-up quarterback, and even sold more than quite a few starting quarterbacks.
The outlet says that some of the players that outsold Tebow were Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans), Tom Brady (Patriots), Colin Kaepernick (49ers), Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers), Russell Wilson (Seahawks), Jameis Winston (Buccaneers), Peyton Manning (Broncos), Andrew Luck (Colts) and Derek Carr (Raiders).
Tebow has yet to land a regular season spot on the Eagles roster as fellow quarterbacks Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley and GJ Kinne are also prepared for the role.
