LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (UPI) — Actress Zoe Kravitz revealed what her mother, Cosby Show alum Lisa Bonet, thinks about the sexual assault allegations against her former TV dad Bill Cosby.
Speaking to the Guardian on Thursday, Kravitz said Bonet has yet to discuss the allegations with her or anybody else, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have an opinion on the matter
“She’s just as disgusted as everyone else is, but I don’t think she has any insight,” Kravitz told the publication. “It’s news to her as well.”
When asked if Bonet possibly knew anything, Kravitz responded that “She was on the show for a long time. She’s also a beautiful woman. It makes people wonder. She’s a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any women who had been abused, she would say something.”
Bonet starred on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1991, playing the role of Denise Huxtable, the second eldest daughter of Cliff Huxtable played by Cosby.
Forty-nine women have now come forward accusing the comedian of sexual assault. Thirty-five of them recently posed together for the cover of New York Magazine’s July 27 issue.
Cosby is ordered to give his first testimony since 2005, answering questions under oath regarding the sexual assault accusations on Oct. 9.
