LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) — The casts of Beasts of No Nation, The Big Short,Spotlight, Straight Outta Compton and Trumbo were nominated Wednesday for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
The guild will announce the winners of its awards, which honor both film and television, in a ceremony to be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Jan. 30.
The nominees in the cinema categories are:

Among those artists snubbed by the guild — despite stellar performances this year — were Sylvester Stallone for Creed, Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo for Spotlight, Tom Hardy for Legend, Matt Damon for The Martian and Will Smith for Concussion, as well as the stars of Joy, including Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro, and The Hateful Eight, which features Samuel L. Jackson, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
