TEXAS, May 20, 2016 (UPI) — A Texas woman recorded a Facebook Live video of herself unable to contain her geeky joy wearing a mask that makes Chewbacca noises.
“I’m really excited to share with you something I got!” Payne tells the camera, clapping while sitting in her car after a shopping trip. “It’s so great, I can’t wait to show you!”
Saying her kids will probably want to play with it, she said she bought it for herself. “When it’s said and done at the end of the day, this is mine!” she says. “I’ll let them play with it, I’m not a bad mom, I’m not a jerk. In all honesty … it doesn’t go in the toy box, it goes in my room.”
She puts on the mask and screams “Yes! Now watch when my mouth actually moves,” as she opens her mouth and the mask’s mouth opens and the Chewbacca noises start. “That’s not me making the noise, it’s the mask! Here listen!”
That’s when the laughter kicks off.
“Oh, I’m such a happy Chewbacca! This is worth every penny!” Payne screams, laughing uncontrollably for about a minute.”
The more she laughs, the more the mask makes the noises … and the more it makes the noises, the more she laughs. Lather, rinse, repeat until you have more than 27 million video views in 18 hours.
“I can’t stop! … Oh my gosh, I’m in tears!” she says before removing the mask and catching her breath.
“That is the best birthday present ever to myself, ever!” she says, wiping tears from her face. “Wow! Oh my goodness.
“Y’all have an incredible day. It’s the simple joys!” she says before erupting again into fits of laughter.
