WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, March 27, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The West Valley Police Department has released the identity of the body found Sunday morning near the Jordan River.
The body is that of 34-year-old Anthony Payne, of West Valley City.
“At this time, the cause of Mr. Payne’s death has not yet been determined,” said a news release issued Monday afternoon by the West Valley City Police Department. “The investigation into Mr. Payne’s death is ongoing.”
The body was spotted by a TRAX train rider at about 10 a.m. Sunday. It was found, partially submerged, at about 2340 South and 1070 West.
No additional information has been released.
