Dec. 24 (UPI) — Married actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson made a surprise visit to a California In-N-Out Burger, where they bought lunch for several fans.
Hanks and Wilson, both 62, were photographed Friday eating lunch with surprised fans at the In-N-Out Burger location in Fontana, about 50 miles east of Los Angeles.
Fan Renee Chavez posted a video to Facebook showing Hanks buying lunch for several customers in the eatery’s drive-through.
“Tom sighed In-N-Out hats and took pictures with everyone,” Meghan, an In-N-Out customer who posted Instagram photos of Hanks’ visit, told E! News.
“He was genuinely nice, laughing, talking with everyone and taking selfies!” she said. “He wished us a Merry Christmas on his way out.”
The City of Fontana celebrated the actors’ visit in a Facebook post.
“Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson made a surprise stop in Fontana on Friday,” the post said. “Welcome to Fontana @tomhanks! Please visit us again.”
