FRANKLIN COUNTY, Idaho, Jan. 30 (Gephardt Daily) — The Franklin (Idaho) County Sheriff’s Office has filed a murder charge against a suspect taken into custody in connection with the death of 31-year-old Wilden Everett Lovin, Jr.

Lovin, from Preston, Idaho, was found deceased under suspicious circumstances on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Arrested in the case is 35-year old Marlin McQueen, also of Preston, now charged with murder, a first-degree felony.

McQueen is being held on $1 million bail.

Preston, just north of the Utah/Idaho border, is about 27 miles north of Logan.

In a pre-arrest statement released Tuesday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said the following:

“The arrest came after a day of intense interviewing by our team of investigators. There is a autopsy scheduled tomorrow (Wednesday) in Boise which will give the actual cause of death.”

A GoFundMe page that says it was set up to play Lovin’s funeral costs describes him as “a beloved friend, son, brother, and uncle.

“Those who knew Willie knew him to be openhearted, and he loved everyone he met unconditionally. He was always the first person to drop whatever he was doing to assist others — even to the point of being nicknamed, ‘Papa Willie.'”
