SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 9, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Tuesday reported three more deaths and 237 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The patients who died were:
- A Utah County resident between the ages of 18-60, who was not hospitalized at time of death
- A Davis County man, older than 85, and a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Salt Lake County man between the ages of 60-85, a resident of a long-term care facility
The 237 new cases bring Utah’s cumulative positive cases to 12,559, an increase of 1.9% since Monday.
The total number of those tested stands at 246,860, an increase of 3,961 tests since Monday. The rate of positive tests is at 5.1% of total tests.
Thirteen new patients have been hospitalized in the past 24 hours, bringing the total hospitalized to 126. In all, 931 Utah people have been hospitalized with COVID-19.
Patients considered recovered, defined as still living three weeks after diagnosis, stand at 7,391.
