TREMONTON, Utah, May 5, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A light earthquake was detected in northern Utah on Sunday, following a similar event Saturday morning.
A magnitude 4.4 earthquake occurred at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, with the epicenter of the shock about 16 miles southwest of Tremonton, the University of Utah Seismograph Stations reported.
The earthquake follows a magnitude 3.9 event in the same area at 2:36 a.m. Saturday. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from either earthquake.
The sequence now consists of more than 19 earthquakes, most of which are still being located by UUSS seismologists.
