WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, June 11, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A wildland fire crew from Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue has returned from a 14-day assignment supporting firefighting efforts in California.
“Engine 47 provided initial attack support in both the Cleveland and Los Padres National Forests and also responded to the Eureka Fire in Joshua Tree National Park,” says a Hurricane Fire news release issued Wednesday.
“Meanwhile, another one of our wildland crews is heading out today. Engine 471 has been deployed to California on a preposition assignment, ready to assist where needed as conditions evolve.
“We’re proud of our crews for their continued dedication and service beyond our local community. Stay safe out there!”
