SCIPIO, Utah, June 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Millard County Sheriff has issued a public safety alert, asking that nearby roadways be kept clear for use by those fighting the Tower Fire.
The new start fire was announced at about 1:50 p.m. Sunday by Utah Fire Info. It is south of Scipio, along Interstate 15, near milepost 185.
The fire size was last estimated at about 40 acres “and running.”
“Multiple ground resources are on scene,” the UFI post says.
The Millard County Sheriff alert asks drivers to avoid 100 West and 300 West in Scipio.
“We must keep these routes entirely clear for water trucks and emergency vehicle access.”
