Howard Stern Apologizes to Adam Sandler, Ends Feud

NEW YORK – December 17, 2015 — (UPI) — Howard Stern decided to bury the hatchet with actor Adam Sandler recently, putting an end to their years long feud.

Sandler appeared on The Howard Stern Show Tuesday and the talk radio host apologized to the actor for continually slamming his movies over the years.

“I always felt bad about all the years we didn’t speak,” Stern said, extending an olive branch to the comedian. “I really did because I was a total [expletive] [expletive].”

Back in 2012 the shock jock explained, “I know Adam Sandler won’t come on the show because I’ve, in the past, criticized his movies. … I guess that’s the reason, but am I the only one criticizing the content in his movies?”

Stern also explained how the two were on a plane together and how he tried to talk to Sandler who was seemingly avoiding him. “That was after you were nasty to me, and I remember the next day you talked about me being an [expletive] again,” Sandler shared. “But the reason I didn’t say hello was you were saying [expletive] to me.”

The Ridiculous Six star spoke openly about how Stern’s comments affected him because he was always such a big fan of the radio host. “When I was at NYU freshman year, I loved you. That’s why it was weird when you used to slam me. It would break my heart because I loved you growing up,” Sandler explained.

Tuesday also marked Stern’s signing of a new five-year deal with SiriusXM Satellite Radio after teasing that Wednesday could have been his final show.
