Behind the Scenes of a Movie That’s Being Compared to “Up”
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – April 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Our film critic Tony Toscano had the chance to sit down with Michael Rapaport and Jakob Salvati from the upcoming war comedy-drama film “Little Boy.”
The story centers on a seven-year-old boy, Pepper Flynt Busbee (Salvati), who is willing to do whatever it takes to end World War II so he can bring his father home.
“Little Boy” is directed by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde and also stars David Henrie, Kevin James, Emily Watson, Ted Levine, Ali Landry and Ben Chaplin. The film is scheduled to be released on April 24.
Salvati said it was easy to build a rapport with Rapaport. “He’s easy to talk to, I mean, look at him!” said Salvati.
And Rapaport added that the plot of his character going off to war will definitely pull on your heart strings. “It definitely is heart breaking, obviously a lot of people are experiencing it still today with having the breach of the family and the separation of the family. ‘Up’ is an example of another movie with tremendous heart and I think ‘Little Boy’ has heart as well.”
