WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (UPI) — For the first time since his 2005 deposition, Bill Cosby will answer questions under oath regarding sexual assault accusations.

NPR reports that Judy Huth, one of the dozens of women alleging Cosby abused them, is suing the comedian for causing psychological damage after allegedly molesting her as a teenager in the Playboy Mansion in 1974.

Cosby is scheduled to give a sworn testimony on Oct. 9 while Huth’s will take place Oct. 15. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the deposition Tuesday.

“We want to find out from Mr. Cosby what his position is,” lawyer Gloria Allred told the Washington Post about Cosby’s questioning going before Huths. “We want Mr. Cosby to be surprised.”

The upcoming deposition will be the first Cosby will deliver since 2005, when he admitted to giving Quaaludes — a synthetic depressant — to a woman before having sex with her. The case was dismissed in 2006 and Cosby never faced charges.

Overall, 46 women ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s have stepped forward to accuse the former Cosby Show leading man of sexual assault. Thirty-five of them recently posed for the cover of New York Magazine’s latest issue.

“Each story is awful in its own right,” the magazine reads. “But the horror is multiplied by the sheer volume of seeing them together, reading them together, considering their shared experience.”
