BEVERLY HILLS , Calif., Oct. 23 (UPI) — The mockumentary David Brent: Life on the Road is set to premiere on Netflix on Feb. 10.
Directed, written and produced by Ricky Gervais, the film will stream via the subscription service worldwide, excluding the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
The movie follows Gervais’ most famous screen character — David Brent from the original, British version of The Office — in his latest career adventure.
“When audiences were first introduced to Brent, the self-proclaimed ‘Friend first, boss second. Probably an entertainer third’ dreamed of becoming a rock superstar. Twelve years on, Brent is now a traveling salesman chasing the dream with his band, Foregone Conclusion,” a synopsis said.
