LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (UPI) — Debbie Reynolds has broken her silence regarding the condition of her 60-year-old daughter — and fellow screen icon — Carrie Fisher.

“Carrie is in stable condition. If there is a change, we will share it. For all her fans & friends. I thank you for your prayers & good wishes,” Reynolds tweeted Sunday.

Fisher has been hospitalized in California since Friday when she suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

She is an actress and author best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise.

Reynolds, 84, famously starred in the classic films Singin’ in the Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
