London, September 15, 2015 — (UPI) — Demi Lovato dropped hints regarding having fluid sexual orientation during an interview on British television show Chatty Man Friday.

The “Cool For The Summer” singer told host Alan Carr the suggestive lyrics of her song — which include “I’m a little curious too,” and “Got a taste for the cherry” — are based on her own experiences and that in her eyes there’s nothing “wrong with experimentation at all.”

When asked whether the song was about her interest in dating women, Lovato said she isn’t confirming, “and I’m definitely not denying.”

The actress and singer joins fellow ex-Disney star Miley Cyrus in releasing information about her fluid sexuality. In August, Cyrus revealed she identifies as a pansexual but isn’t in a relationship. “I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with.”

Lovato told host Carr she felt male artists shouldn’t be afraid to speak out about their experimentation either. “If a very popular male artist in one of his songs came out and said, ‘I’m experimenting,’ — if a guy sang this song that was straight — it would be such an uproar,” she said.

“But there’s a confidence to a man that would say, ‘I’ve experimented with a man,’ and not care. I actually find that more attractive than saying, ‘No, no, no, that’s so wrong.'”

Lovato is currently dating former That ’70s Show actor Wilmer Valderrama and has been since 2010.
