April 6 (UPI) — Demi Lovato shared her vision for an R-rated “Camp Rock 3” this week.
The 24-year-old singer and actress said on Wednesday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that a new and more mature sequel with the Jonas brothers might include cursing and a sex scene.
“We want to come out with, like, an R-rated ‘Camp Rock 3,'” Lovato confirmed. “All of our fans have now grown up, so anybody that watched ‘Camp Rock’ is now older and can appreciate, like, an American Pie version.”
“I think [there will be cursing], maybe a little bit,” she added before admitting, “It’s something I do every day, all day. I am terrible at not cursing.”
Lovato later said during an R-rated “5 Second Rule” game with DeGeneres that the sequel would possibly include a “sex scene.” Her co-star Joe Jonas initially discussed plans for the project with Marie Claire in March.
“For all of us — Demi, Nick, it would be funny to do a spin on it,” he said. “Do the graduating days, make it kinda dark. An adult film. Well, not an adult film. An R-rated film. We’ve joked around about the idea a couple times.”
“Camp Rock” starred Lovato, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, and premiered on the Disney Channel in 2008. Lovato, who played Mitchie Torres in the movie and its 2010 sequel, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” also discussed boyfriend Guilherme Vasconcelos with DeGeneres.
“Isn’t he cute? So cute,” she gushed. “I’m very happy. Life is really good.”
