PARIS, Nov. 13 (UPI) — The wife of Julian Dorio, the drummer for Eagles of Death Metal, says all members of the California rock band are safe after a terror attack on the Paris concert venue where they were playing Friday night.

“We are just holding our breath and saying prayers for everyone,” Dorio’s wife Emily told The Washington Post.

“He called to say that he loved me and he was safe. Everyone on stage was able to get off.”

“We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation,” the band’s official Facebook page said.

Red Lemons, the rock group that opened for Eagles of Death Metal, also said all of the musicians escaped the carnage.

“For our American and English friends, a terrorist attack happened at the Eagles of Death Metal concert. We are safe. Mikel Ross, Eric McFadden we were with your mates Jesse, Tuesday, the other musicians outside, they’re safe too, they took a cab…” the band’s post said.

About 100 hostages reportedly were taken at the 1,000-seat, Le Bataclan concert hall. Two of the three armed attackers were subsequently killed by police who stormed the venue. Numerous concertgoers were slain.

A state of emergency has been declared and the country’s borders have been closed.
