“American Idol’s”: Kalli Therinae
Back in February of 2013 our very own film critic Tony Toscano’s niece Kalli Therinae, who is a Lehi native, was on season 12 of American Idol.
At 20 years old, she was attending Weber State University and was seen singing all over campus. She took the stage on American Idol and blew the judges away.
Kalli made it to the top 90 contestants, but was cut before the Las Vegas round. She said that she auditioned for American Idol to make her dream come true.
When Kalli tried out for American Idol on season 12 and said, “My first thought when I got my golden ticket was ‘Wow, you know, I’m going to Hollywood, I’m so excited’”
Here is a clip of her singing in front of the Gephardt Approved Companies.
