Dec. 17 (UPI) — U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam Saturday Night Live as being part of a “Democrat spin machine” Sunday.
“A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live. It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal? Only defame & belittle! Collusion?” Trump tweeted.
The show had hours earlier parodied the alternate-reality, holiday classic It’s A Wonderful Life, imagining how much happier the people in Trump’s world would be had Trump not been elected president in 2016.
Kenan Thompson plays Clarence the angel in the 9-minute, black-and-white segment, which also featured Alec Baldwin as Trump, Matt Damon as Brett Kavanaugh, Kate McKinnon as Kellyanne Conway, Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen, Robert DeNiro as Robert Mueller, Cecily Strong as Melania Trump and Aidy Bryant as Sarah Sanders. Heidi Gardner plays Trump’s fictional future wife Hernia.
