Jan. 23, 2017 (UPI) — Pop music icons Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper have announced plans for an 18-city concert tour beginning in Florida on July 6.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour will include stops in New York, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Texas.
The artists are scheduled to promote the show on “Today” and “Watch What Happens Live” on Wednesday, and “Access Hollywood” on Friday, the day tickets go on sale.
“Stewart and Lauper have been awarded nearly every industry award and honor for their incomparable catalog of hits and activism, among them Grammy and American Music Awards, two inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the ASCAP Founders Award for songwriting and a knighthood for Stewart; and an Emmy and Tony Award for Lauper,” a press release noted.
“Oi! Get ready to let loose with me and special guest @cyndilauper on tour this year! Rod xxx,” Stewart tweeted.
