A Merry Grinch Christmas

There are only six days left till Christmas and we hope that you are still counting down with us. We have here the sixth day to Christmas movie is the animated version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Yes one of the beloved Christmas animated videos that is for the entire family, is our number six. This is Dr. Seuss’ Quintessential Story of the Spirit of Christmas, as told by Boris Karloff, who actually narrated the film and also provides the speaking voice of The Grinch.

The Grinch is the film’s main character who lives in a cave atop Mt. Crumpit which is located above the village of Whoville. The Grinch is just another Scrooge who has a heart that is “two sizes too small.” He has hated Christmas for 53 years and one Christmas Eve he just gets fed up with all the decorations, music, and caroling in the village an wishes that he could stop Christmas Day from coming to Whoville.

The Grinch makes himself portray Santa by making his very own Santa coat and hat while also disguising the innocent Max as a reindeer. He then loads empty bags onto the makeshift sleigh and travels to Whoville, with some difficulty. He is almost caught by one little Whovian, named Cindy Lou Who, when she wakes up and sees him taking the Christmas tree. Pretending to be Santa, the Grinch tells Cindy Lou that he is taking the tree to his workshop for repairs. Then he gets her a drink and sends her back to bed.

He then starts taking all the food and Christmas-related items, mostly presents, trees, mistletoes, the stockings on the chimney and even the crumbs so the mice can’t have them. He then repeats this thieving process at the other houses in Whoville, also takes the decorations from the village square and off of every single house.

After the Who’s Christmas gifts, decorations and everything else have been stolen, the Grinch and Max travel back up Mt. Crumpit. Before dropping the loaded sleigh off the mountain, the Grinch waits to hear a sad cry from the Whos. However, down in the village, the Whos begin to sing joyous Christmas carols, proving that the spirit of Christmas does not depend on material goods.
