WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Feb. 5, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 15-year-old is dead from a gunshot wound in West Valley City Tuesday afternoon.
West Valley City Police Department tweeted at 1:30 p.m. the incident occurred inside a residence in the area of 1347 W. 2320 South, where a friend of the victim lives.
WVCPD spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku confirmed to Gephardt Daily the deceased 15-year-old is male.
“We have been able to rule out a self-inflicted wound in the shooting death of a 15-year-old male,” a follow up tweet said. “There were multiple people inside the room at the time of the shooting. We are interviewing them as well as authoring a search warrant for evidence at this time.”
