2 critically injured, 1 stable after driver runs red light on Mountain View Corridor in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Oct. 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people were severely injured in a Friday morning crash on Mountain View Corridor in West Jordan.

West Jordan Police Officer Scott List told Gephardt Daily the accident happened about 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of 7800 S. Mountain View Corridor and 6000 West.

According to witness accounts, a semi truck was driving east and moving through the intersection when a northbound vehicle ran a red light and smashed into the passing truck.

List said two males, ages 22 and 21, were critically injured in the crash. A 20-year-old woman was also severely injured, but is in stable condition.

All three were taken by ground ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Investigator said it was too early to know the exact cause of the crash.

The names of the crash victims have yet to be released.
