MESQUITE, Nev., May 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 3.8-magnitude earthquake rumbled 35 miles outside of Mesquite Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The city closest to the quake’s epicenter was Bunkerville, Nevada, which was 20 miles away and has a population just under 1,500 people.
On Mesquite NV Fire Rescue Facebook page, several people in Sun City, Mesquite and Bunkerville, Nevada said they felt the ground move just before 7 a.m.
The epicenter of the quake was about 80 miles from St. George, Utah.
No damages or injuries were reported.
