WEST POINT, Utah, Aug. 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Four Davis County fire agencies were called to a West Point blaze on Monday morning, and were able to knock down the fire quickly, but not before costly damages occurred.
The call came in at 7:07 a.m., and departments responding were the North Davis Fire District and fire departments from Clinton, Sunset and Syracuse.
First responders saw smoke coming from the roof of a residence at 885 N. 3200 West. Within a few minutes, the fire was venting through the roof.
Damage is estimated at $40,000 to $50,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was in the home at the the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
