TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, May 25, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Five people were transported to area hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash late Sunday night at Redwood Road and 4700 South, while three suspects who allegedly fled the scene remained at large as of early Monday morning, police said.
The crash happened around 10:10 p.m. near the busy intersection when a southbound pickup truck allegedly ran a red light before striking an Xfinity/Comcast utility pole, according to Taylorsville Police Patrol Officer White.
“There was a pickup truck who went southbound, ran the red light, struck an Xfinity Comcast phone and internet pole,” White told Gephardt Daily. “The debris struck another vehicle, another motorist, and then the truck itself ended up colliding with two other motorists, causing one to roll.”
Police said two occupants had to be extracted from one of the vehicles involved in the crash.

White said the driver and two occupants of the pickup truck fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.
“We have five transported to IMC and Murray,” White said, referring to Intermountain Medical Center and Murray-area medical facilities. “All injuries are pretty low. There’s no serious threat to loss of life or any major injury.”
Police said no structural damage was reported to the Dee’s Restaurant at the corner of Redwood Road and 4700 South, although a retaining wall at the corner sustained significant damage.
“It was quite the mess,” White said. “Debris is all over the entire intersection.”
The crash remains under investigation.
