GARFIELD COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 10, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Agents from the Garfield County and Kane County sheriff’s offices responded Saturday after a report of what appeared to be a dead body on the deck of a boat anchored on Lake Powell.
In the boat, in a cove near Bullfrog Marina, responders found the body of Bruce Wayne Brinkley, 77, from Globe, Arizona.
“This is an open investigation,” says a news release issued by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. “However, there is no indication of an accident, foul play or suicide. The body was transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner Office.”
The boaters first observed what they had seen to Glen Canyon Park Rangers, who contacted the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. The Utah Department of Natural Resources was also involved in the operation.
