Bountiful police searching for man who stole bike from Scout at library

BOUNTIFUL, Utah, July 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Bountiful police are asking for the public’s help searching for a suspect they say stole a bike from a Scout who was at the library.

“This person stole a young man’s bike who was at our local library for a Scouting activity,” said a Facebook post from Bountiful Police Department. The Bountiful Library is located at 725 S. Main St. Officials did not say when the theft occurred.

The man is seen in surveillance photos riding away from the library on the bike. He is Caucasian, and in the photos is wearing an orange hat with a Texas Longhorns logo, a black T-shirt, black jeans and glasses.

Anyone who saw the incident or who has information on the suspect is asked to call Bountiful Police on 801-298-6000 or reach the department on Facebook. The reference number for the case is 2018-001833.
