BOUNTIFUL, Utah, July 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman killed in an auto-pedestrian crash in Bountiful has been identified.
South Davis Metro Fire spokesman Lt. Dave Edwards said at approximately 10:25 a.m. Monday, Cheryl Engh Card, 54, of Bountiful, was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross 200 West at 100 South in Bountiful.
Card was treated by South Davis Metro Fire medics, and was flown to University Hospital in critical condition. Card died due to her injuries Tuesday.
The 55-year-old male driver of the vehicle that struck Card said he did not see her prior to hearing the collision.
Edwards said the driver rendered immediate aid to the victim and is cooperating fully with police. There was no indication of alcohol or drugs use in the initial investigation. The accident remains under investigation by Bountiful Police Department Detectives.
