SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – November 18, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily)

Salt Lake City police and firefighters spent the better part of the day Wednesday on the scene of a roaring business structure fire near 1500 South Main Street.

According to Salt Lake City Fire Department spokesperson Jasen Asay, the fire was first reported around 12:20 p.m. When firefighters arrived they found the building engulfed in flames.

At least five fire engines and two ladder trucks were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters decided to allow the structure to burn after hearing reports the building had formerly housed a meth lab.
